Am Mittwoch, den 21. Mai 2025 um 14 Uhr auf Zoom (https://uni-due.zoom-x.de/j/63970085185?pwd=AhAEbdYNzc34pMb575NVo62UvFlIqB.1 ; Meeting-ID: 639 7008 5185; Kenncode: 121257) wird Dr. Marco Schäferhoff (Open Consultants, Berlin/Lancet Commission on Investing in Health) auf Einladung des Ausschuss für Entwicklungszusammenarbeit der dggö die Ergebnisse der Studie "Global Health 2050: the path to halving premature death by mid-century" vorstellen. Die Studie der Lancet Commission on Investing in Health  wurde im Oktober 2024 beim World Health Summit in Berlin gelauncht . Sie zeigt wie Länder durch einen Fokus auf 15 Prioritäten bis zum Jahr 2050 wesentliche Fortschritte im Bereich der öffentlichen Gesundheit machen können. Neben Dr. Schäferhoff wird mit Dr. Omar Karlsson (Center of Economic Demopgraphy, Lund University)  ein zweiter Commissioner weitere Ergebnisse speziell zur Situation in Deutschland vorstellen. Der Vortrag findet in englischer Sprache statt.

This study of the Lancet Commission on Investing in Health was launched in October 2024 at the World Health Summit in Berlin. It demonstrates how countries can achieve relevant improvements in public health when focusing on 15 priorities. Along with Marco Schäferhoff Dr. Omar Karlsson (Center of Economic Demography, Lund University) a second commissioner will present results specific for Germany. The talk will be in English.
