The Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW; www.ifw-kiel.de) seeks a Junior Researcher (PhD student) in Economics and Global Health (75% of FTE). This vacant position will be integrated in the global health research group under the supervision of Dr. Michael Stolpe. The group cooperates closely with leading medical researchers in the DFG-funded Cluster of Excellence “Precision Medicine in Chronic Inflammation.” The global health research group is currently expanding its scope with a particular focus on non-communicable and chronic diseases, health inequalities and digital health services and is building new interdisciplinary and international research alliances with leading health economists and medical researchers. The research will make use of large datasets to test and calibrate empirical models with the aim to develop evidence-based policy advice for national and international decision makers in health policy and healthcare management.
