Das Journal Homo Oeconomicus wird ein Special Issue Healthcare veröffentlicht. Hierzu ist der Call for Papers zum 15 April 2018 geöffnet:

Currently, several countries, including the United States and Finland, are contemplating major changes to their healthcare systems. Before implementing any new structures, it is essential for policymakers to understand the advantages and disadvantages of different types of systems. In general, goals in healthcare include universal coverage at reasonable costs. A goal of this volume is to explore healthcare policy and delivery in order to provide recommendations. Issues addressed include: what types of systems best meet these goals? What types of innovations are possible within each type of system? What are the expected and unexpected consequences of policy changes? How well do patients understand the systems they face? Combined, this issue should increase understanding of healthcare policy before structural changes are made.

Papers of 10.000-30.000 words are most welcome. The style of the manuscript should be compatible to the style applied in the Journal.
