Call for Papers Special Issue of the Journal of Economics and Statistics (Jahrbücher für Nationalökonomie und Statistik) on Empirical Health Economics
The past two decades, the economics profession has sharpened its focus on the identification of the causal effects using micro data. In health economics, this concerns the causal effects of policy interventions and of variations in living conditions on health outcomes as well as the causal effects of health on socio-economic outcomes. At the same time, a variety of novel data sources combined with advances in microeconometric methods have presented health economists with vast new research opportunities.
